Trinidad and Tobago WAGS and PAWS formerly (T.T.P.R.)
Trinidad and Tobago Paw Rescues was founded in January 2017 by Keisha and Neel. They are both teachers who have been rescuing, spaying/neutering and re-homing dogs since 2009. Over the years Neel and Keisha have assisted the residents of the rural communities of Gran Couva, Caparao,Cap-De-Ville and Debe in the spaying/neutering of dogs and cats. The organization doesn't presently possess a shelter, but we all hope that in the future this goal can be achieved.
Other than helping our PAW friends, Keisha and Neel have recently established a rehabilitation unit for rescued livestock such as chickens, ducks and goats, whom have been abused or left for dead by their owners. Presently this unit houses twenty eight chickens, two ducks and one goat, these animals would now be able to live the rest of their lives, with love, comfort and peace. In 2018 a relationship between the TTPR was formed with an avid mother and daughter duo, Cintra Ramoutar and Janelle Ramsaroop. These two were introduced to the TTPR by another known Animal advocate, Mrs. Yvette Baboolal of the (Lu Lu's Animal Shelter) where they have all co-operated in there different geographic locations, with the assistance in the re-homing and reducing of the countries stray population. Cintra and Janelle are a true representation of the animal welfare cause. Their journey started with their first rescue Benji and since then, they have astonishingly rescued, rehabilitated and re-homed over one hundred dogs to date. |
